Weeb Central · a hand-kept list, read as evidence

479 anime entries and 26 manga entries, kept by hand in Notion for years before anyone asked to see them. The interesting part isn't the titles, it's that the table admits three things its rows never say out loud.

Finding 01

There is no word for quitting

The status column has 5 values and not one of them is “dropped”. 50 titles sit in “Paused” instead. These are recorded statuses. A paused entry does not tell us whether I intend to resume it.

  • To Watch297

97.6%

of the 83 “Completed” shows are actually caught up with every season out.

4.8%

of the 21 “Paused” shows are actually caught up with every season out.

47 seasons sit unwatched across 26 shows. The deepest single hole is Bleach, 14 seasons behind.

Finding 02

The bottom of the scale has never been used

48 of 479 entries carry a score, and every one of them is a 3 or higher out of five. The lower 2 points of his own scale have never once been spent — the shows that would have earned them are the ones sitting in “Paused”, unscored.

Finding 03

A hand-kept list cannot see the present

Every title here was matched against AniList at build time. 47 rows say “caught up” while a sequel has already aired. That gap is not carelessness — it is what a snapshot does the moment it is written. The only fix is to ask something outside the list.

The manga half

26 titles and 1,924 chapters logged — too small a corpus to carry a finding, and saying so is better than dressing it up. 21 of them are still open.
